All smiles.....The Rector officiating the opening ceremony and re-branding of IIUM fm. [17 July, 2012]
IIUM Rector, Prof. Dato Sri Dr. Zaleha Kamaruddin (centre), in declaring open IIUM fm, said that the new outfit will enhance two-way communication and interactivity within the campus community and with the world at large. New media are now a significant aspect of our daily life and that they are efffective tools of communication especially amongst the younger generation. She congratulated the Communication students from KIRKHS for taking the iniative and ingenious effort to upgrade the faciilties and make IIUM fm. radio station -- and subsequent on-line transmission capability -- a reality.
