Application will allow secure
documents to be accessed on iPads and iPhones and enable a
Bring-Your-Own-Device initiative within enterprises. Application will
be free for some time.
Seclore the provider of the most integration friendly Information
Rights Management (IRM) system in the world, today announced the launch
of Seclore FileSecure application for iOS devices. FileSecure Lite
will allow rights managed documents & emails to be accessed on iOS
devices. This will enable enterprises to collaborate across enterprise
managed devices and (personal) iPads and iPhones without worrying about
information breaches.
Seclore FileSecure allows information to be controlled after it is
distributed within or outside the enterprise. The controls extend to WHO
(people / groups, within / outside) can use the information, WHAT
(view / edit / forward / ...) can each person do, WHEN (dates,
timespans, ....) and from WHERE (devices, networks, ....). With these
controls extending to information on iOS devices, enterprises can allow
these devices to handle confidential corporate information. Audit
trails of usage on these devices will also allow enterprises to monitor
the flow and usage of this information.
FileSecure lite is available for download
from the Apple Marketplace . The first release supports all iPad
devices and will soon be extended to the iPhone. Seclore FileSecure
protected emails and documents received from any source could be
accessed using the application. The application will support most
common formats. Various licensing models will be available after the
initial free usage period.
"Every figure on the position and growth of iOS devices is
staggering. Within enterprises the use of these devices is starting
right in the boardroom. With iOS device support for Seclore FileSecure,
Seclore has taken a giant step in its goal of bringing security and
collaboration together. Enterprises and content providers will be the
biggest beneficiaries from this release." said Abhijit Tannu, CTO of
Seclore.
